Are you are dog lover?
If so, you might like to see some of the delightful dog ornaments for Christmas that I discovered when I was browsing the web.
I don’t know what it is about dogs, but I do love them – well I love most dogs, but I admit that I’m not too keen on big dogs that bark loudly and scare me out of my skin, almost. But maybe those kinds of dogs are just looking for some company, or someone to play with them.
Anyway, to get back to dog ornaments for Christmas, I found some that will hang on a Christmas tree and some that don’t hang but can be placed on a mantelpiece over the fireplace, or on a book shelf or any place where it is sure to be seen and give pleasure to dog lovers.
And then, don’t you just love Smiley the Terrier who sings “Can’t Smile Without You”. I think he’s adorable! Although he sings so soulfully I just can’t help laughing at him. He is a darling.

If you are searching for gift ideas, a dog ornament might be a suitable gift for that family member or friend who is passionate about pets of the canine breed.
I am very much aware of the pleasure that the right ornament can give as a gift. I had two dog ornaments in my home for as long as I could remember. They were Scotch Terriers; one was black and the other was white. I knew that they had been a gift to one of my daughters but I couldn’t remember which daughter had the pleasure of receiving these two dog ornaments. Eventually, after many years, the daughter to whom they belonged claimed them. She had been hesitant to do so, but she really loved them as did I. I miss those ornaments now but I’m pleased that they are with their rightful owner!
So whether dog ornaments are for decoration at Christmas time, or given as presents, they bring enormous pleasure to those who love dogs and appreciate the beauty or, maybe cuteness, of a dog ornament.
Best wishes for a fantastic Christmas – with or without a doggy friend.
Hi Valerie, love this article, I am a dog lover too and while I presently do not have a dog, I have many friends who do. They are more wrapped up in their pets than any other aspect of their lives, for the most part, I enjoy watching them and I think they would all appreciate a gift for their dog rather than a gift for themselves :)
Hi Riley,
I am pleased to know you are a dog lover. Dogs are such wonderful pets and companions, and I love them too.
I agree with you in regard to Christmas gifts. I’m sure a gift for their dog rather than for themselves, would give them great pleasure.
Thanks very much for leaving your comment :)
